The desire to control has no end apparently. How much more obvious can they get? Phuck em. Say no and live your life.

The desire to control is what drives people who have little self-control. I unfortunately know this from personal experience.

Control freaks are eternally in pursuit of a perfect, unquestionable truth. They believe in the existence of One Neat Trick that will fix everything. In other words, they're fundamentalists. They mouth Enlightenment pieties without understanding any of them. For them, science is reduced to a rhetorical bludgeon and a marketing phrase; not a process requiring humility.

Bravo, James. And calling them fundamentalists really nails it. It's the trap we all must evade 24/7!

The good news is that this "mind reading" tech does not work. At all. You can read about lab experiments where they can (almost, maybe) determine whether someone is thinking about a blue box or a red box, but it quickly becomes evident that the measured outcomes are less accurate than coin flipping. The crude nature of these experiments is in stark contrast to the claims of Farahany and others of her ilk we have been hearing for years. Your piece on scientism is highly relevant.

The mind cannot be "read" but the psychopathic rulers would like us to think mind-reading is just around the corner. They attract all sorts of funding from oligarchs, consistently promising near-certain results if only they can get more money. Minds can be "controlled" in the sense that pain can be inflicted for "wrong" decisions. And brains can be damaged and people reduced to blathering nitwits, and in that sense they can also be controlled. But good luck "reading" the mind of a brain-fried human guinea pig.

They want people to get brain implants not to reveal the innermost secrets of the mind but to enable these monsters to inflict pain and control you. They will never read your mind but they can destroy it.

Excellent point, Jerome, thanks! As usual, these parasites overestimate themselves. But, as you imply, they may still have limited success. After all, if a heavily conditioned populace *thinks* you can read minds, they may become even more compliant out or fear.

As yes, sadism is ever-present.

If I was trying to gaslight folks I would tell them I could read their minds. Definitely, whether I could or not. Wait, actually, if I COULD read their minds, I would not tell them. Get my drift?

I hear you, loud and clear.

Jacquelyn, I completely agree with you. I think all of the claims that the "powers that be" have the knowledge and technology to control the weather, change our genes, read our minds, turn us in to robots, etc are just smoke and mirrors just like in the wizard of Oz. Who can verify any of their supposed "studies"? They constantly toot their own horns and blather on and on with big "scientific" words to keep us in a constant state of fear and helplessness. If they wanted us all dead why haven't they just gotten it over with years ago if they supposedly have "the power" to do it? IMHO because they DON'T really have the power to destroy or fundamentally change all life on Earth. Yes, they can poison our bodies and minds. Yes, they can poison and rape the Earth, but that's where their power ends. They want US to destroy OURSELVES to avoid the loop of Karma. A created being can never be more powerful than The Creator. My 2 cents :)

And here we go again. Didn't any of these idiots ever read sci-fi stories where someone goes mad because they can hear everything other people are thinking? I DON'T WANT TO KNOW what goes on in people's heads unless it's something they want to share. If you want to know the crap that fills most people's minds just go on social media and then have a good purge.
