Lucky one. I had one extracted I shouldn't have, and two capped I shouldn't have. Or maybe I should, but it sucked with all the drugs and stuff in August.
Dentists for decades have told me the same thing about a couple of tooth "problems down the line sort of thing" so I finally did it after the old root canal fell out. Would have been better to just get a new root canal than extracting the tooth imo, but maybe I'll feel different after its all done.
Mickey have you ever written a book about health maintenance? You've had a good run so far. Anything you credit for that could be a big help to others.
I'm glad you made it through this with minimum distress!
Thanks, James! And no, I wrote many articles over the years for fitness and martial arts magazines but never a book. Perhaps I could start sneaking in health-related posts here on Substack? 🤔
Some years ago I brought an elderly friend to the dentist. To my total surprise, there were a receptionist and several nurses, and she got medication for pain! In Belgium where I am from, a dentist is a one person office. I never heard of people taking pain medication afterward. And a dentist is not allowed to use sleep at all, only local sedation. I am glad you had a smooth visit. Did anyone ask about the shots? I have not been to either doc or dentist, so wonder if they still ask.
Great story, Mickey. Good for you! My wife & I are the same way - haven't been to a pharmacy since 1972 - 50 years of medical freedom. We do go to the dentist, and occasionally I have a minor thing like a tooth filling; I get a little novacaine sometimes, but my wife learned the technique in Switzerland to press an accupuncture point on her finger, and she has fillings done, etc., with no anaesthetic at all. That stuff is all toxic, so less is always better.
It's not a completely mental phenomenon when you've had numerous sports injuries! Ditto, injuries from feeding animals during blizzards and ice, sawing and splitting wood, working on vehicles, even gardening!
Have also had numerous sports injuries.... nevertheless, there's a lot more to we humans than we can imagine, and our potential is far beyond what we realize. Do you remember Jack Schwartz? He could have people put cigarettes out on his skin and smile, relaxed, feeling no pain at all. I remember seeing a stage hypnotist hypnotize a random audience member into believing a piece of chalk was hot, and she not only yelped in pain, but got a red mark on her arm. And then there are the Malaysian trance dancers with literally hundreds of long needles through their arms, legs, and torsos, who feel no pain at all, and on and on.... Remember Milarepa... Mind is all.
I was/am a sugar addict, still am too. I was a meth addict. Not for many years though. I lost all my teeth before I was 50ish. I don't miss the dentists--ever. I do miss my lowers.
LOL i love the shade you threw at the covid psyop
😇

I'm sorry to hear that, Jerome. What makes you wonder if the work was necessary?

I hear you. My situation is somewhat similar. I try to do as much research I can on my own but it's very challenging to know the correct path for you.
I wish you luck, Jerome, and I trust you will be happy with your decision.

Thank you, Ingrid!
And yes, on one of the forms, patients are asked if they are full vaccinated. I checked "no" and nothing further was said.
Take Arnica
For post-oral surgery?
Yes. For post operative anything. Actually I've taken it before and after dental work and it really is amazing. Some dentists are recommending it.
Thank you again. I will look into it ASAP!

Thanks, Will...much appreciated.
Bravo to you and your wife and extra kudos to her for that acupuncture technique!
Yes, it's amazing how pain is in many ways a completely mental phenomenon, but it sure doesn't seem that way!
