Love Mr. Rogers! :)

Friday the 13th is when the catholic church decided to murder all remaining members of the Knights Templar because they had become too powerful and held a secret ( something they found during the crusades ) over the church that would have possibly destroyed christianity. Or so they say.. I wasn't there.. lol

Thanks, An...so many theories exist and help justify the title I gave this post!

some years ago, I read that 13 used to be a lucky number. I think the biblical reminescences are quite coincidental. Just like the passion flower. Numerology is probably in the same bucket as astrology. In Babylonian times astrology was based on real observation of stars and planets, but then it went off on its own. Turns out they are now calculating with star positions of 2000 years ago. Good luck! Some people just like to live in fear I suppose.

"Some people just like to live in fear I suppose"

Like the "medical freedom movement," for example!

You could also say that 13 is the base of the sacred feminine harmonic - 364.

13 moons in one year.

If you divide 364 days into 13 you get 28 days each month.

How often do the full moon appears? Every 28 days.

Friday is called Friday after Freya, the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty and fertility. Turtles also have 13 major scales and 28 minor scales on the back of their shells.

It seems to me that the whole superstition around Friday the 13th would be geared towards portraying the feminine energy as evil or unlucky, to disconnect people from the inner feminine polarity within everyone.

Happy Friday the 13th! :)

Thanks, Dom...and yes, patriarchy has been and remains such an insidious and powerful influence. Thus, as my post's title states, more fake news!

Thank you and amen, Jaye! Countless theories exist but, for me, that sentiment boils things down to their essence.

Oh how I miss the sweeter, more innocent times of Mister Rogers!

My theory on evil is when you give power to it, give it credibility, is when it gets “power full”. So, if you want to have evil live in your life on Friday the 13th or in any other instance, only you can make that happen. For me, I’m TGIF! Happy weekend, y’all!

Love the clip from Mr Rogers 💕. I rarely check to see what day of the week we’re on, much less the date 🤣 . May we all strive to live in a world of awe and wonder, not fear and superstition 🙏 many thanks for this reminder!

Also there's an association of 13 witches making for a coven, which could imply that there was a fear of Earth wisdom and feminine power.

YES!!!!! In Italy the number 13 is a lucky number..... some babies are gifted a number 13 little pendant when they are born.... I still have mine and have never been phased by this superstition..... on days like this I tell others the story so they don't need to fall for the illusion....

Hi Stella...and thank you! As I may have mentioned to you before, my Dad was born in Italy and very much viewed the number 13 in a positive way. 🇮🇹
