Worship Wednesday #87
“Where two or more are gathered together in My name...”
When Moses was born, he was threatened by Pharaoh’s decree to have all male Hebrew babies killed. Clearly, less than ideal.
Yet he was not only rescued, but he also ended up living in a palace.
When he later acted impulsively in defense of some fellow Hebrews, Moses had to escape to the wilderness and survive there for 40 years. An obvious hardship.
However, when the LORD called on the eighty-year-old Moses to liberate His people, it involved dealing with a new Pharaoh in (wait for it) a palace setting. Moses was prepared because he had spent half his life in such an environment.
Then, when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, they wound up in the wilderness for (you guessed it) 40 years. Thanks to his own 40 years of experience in a harsh terrain, Moses had the skills to become an outstanding leader.
Every time we feel life is unfair and God’s not listening, remember: He’s got a plan we can’t see. He’s preparing you for righteous work you haven’t yet imagined. Stay faithful and prayerful, my friends.
Your Red Sea is coming.
With that in mind, let’s get to this week’s Worship Wednesday…
To simplify this weekly concept: Your prayer requests and praise reports are 100% welcome!
Who and what are you praying for? How can we help?
Which prayers of yours have been answered? Please share some good news!
Thank you for this week’s prayer requests, praise reports, and love…
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” (1 Timothy: 1)
We all have prayer requests, many of which involve very serious personal situations. However, let’s always remember to petition the LORD on behalf of others who need support.
In addition to the prayer requests mentioned here, please stay attentive to those moments when someone you know unexpectedly comes to mind. Use that as a prompt to pray for them immediately. The Holy Spirit is speaking to you.
FYI: Each week, I compile handwritten lists of all your requests and bring them to the Eucharistic Chapel at the nearby Catholic Church (see photo below). I pray for all of you and then place the list in the chapel’s prayer box, where your requests are prayed for privately yet directly as part of specific Masses.
“And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14)
Thank you, everyone, for dedicating time and energy to creating a better, more positive, and accepting world.
You are not alone. I look forward to praying for and with you and hope you’re also in each other’s prayers.
May the rest of your life be the best of your life…

Hello friends, please send prayers my way. I am experiencing grief and overwhelm and anxiousness on levels. I cannot even explain. It has been an incredibly challenging time and I am experiencing new levels of pain this week that is surprising in its intensity. Thank you so much for your prayers for me and my family. Thank you very much. God bless you all.❤️🙏✨
Praying for my penfriend, who has a very rough time. She is very sensitive to sound and has frequent headaches.
Praying for Malika, hoping for resolve to the anxiety.
Saying a little prayer of thanks for the day of yesterday, that started with paperwork not being finished properly, streets blocked off, traffic lights not working, dangerous drivers, AC broken down when I got home... and at 4 in the afternoon, after getting home safely, someone helping me finish the paperwork, called the new AC company who showed up mid-afternoon and fixed the thing!
A small miracle - for less than the old company would have charged, and would have had to wait for days for them to come! A little prayer of thanks to my handyman, who recommended them.
