“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.” (Luke 11:17)
I’ve already told you about “both sides” being united in their embracing of fear:
Here’s a little more…
Woke people blame Climate Change™ for every illness and death.
Free thinkers blame The Jab™ for every illness and death.
Woke people reflexively use the term “anti-vaxxers” as an insult — even when it doesn’t apply.
Free thinkers reflexively use the term “communist” as an insult — even when it doesn’t apply.
Woke people get triggered like delicate snowflakes if, for example, you use the “wrong” pronoun.
Free thinkers get triggered like delicate snowflakes if, for example, you simply utter the name Noam Chomsky.
Woke people reflexively blame cops — unless those cops worked at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.
Free thinkers reflexively absolve cops — unless those cops worked at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.
Woke people are herded into easily manageable tribes by AI algorithms and thus, live an ideological life governed by confirmation bias.
Free thinkers are herded into easily manageable tribes by AI algorithms and thus, live an ideological life governed by confirmation bias.
Woke people and free thinkers refuse to recognize any common ground and therefore remain malleable to the whims of the bankers and corporate CEOs who continue consolidating power while the peons wage flame wars on social media.
Spoiler alert: It doesn’t have to be like this. Not even close.
The entire house of cards collapses when we “peons” remember how much innate power we have and how much in common we have.
Since it’s crystal clear that what we’re all doing now isn’t working, why not try something new?
Isn’t that what rebels do?

That mirroring is awful and sadly accurate. The longer I live, and engage politically, the more I see the Narcissism of Minor Differences cropping up. I've dipped my own toes in that fetid water... It's unpleasant but healthy to realise one has been unwittingly serving an ignoble purpose.

Isn’t it amazing how so many of the people who claimed to be post-partisan dutifully aligned with their partisan roots the minute their principles were put to the test?
I appreciate the Noam Chomsky inside joke ;-)
Speaking of, this morning, I came across this apropos Chomsky quote I transcribed from his lecture “Terrorism as a Political Tool” a few years ago:
“You gotta control the population. There’s a classic answer to this problem. You frighten them.… What do you do? You have to get the public lined up. They oppose your policies. There’s only one way to deal with this. Every leader throughout history has understood it. Frighten people. You have to make them think their lives are at stake, they gotta defend themselves, and if so, they’ll accept this attack, they’ll accept these programs that they despise or dislike, they’ll accept them as an unfortunate necessity.”
