Well-done, good reminders. And yup! It's a non-stop manipulation (which I call the reality-show-world-of-perpetual-crises and no, it's not catchy) and when you start peeling back the layers - well, it's really uncomfortable to discover that who you thought 'you' were, was always the product of those manipulations.
Good news though, once past the superficially created personalities - there is another, deeper YOU!
This is one of the benefits of living rurally, but it's not for the easily bored (who are the most manipulated and manipulatable people). There's sap season -- right now, but we don't eat much syrup so don't tap anymore -- followed by garden season, followed by getting in wood season, followed by clearing snow and with luck getting in more wood season. And we're back to sap season!
In my experience, the people who are most certain of their street smarts live seriously sheltered lives. They have graduate degrees, mortgages, corporate careers and many opportunities to confidently cite the NY Times. They live in bubbles and typically have no idea how carefully they're scrutinized for vulnerabilities. Needless to say, their certainty is misplaced. Their uptake on bullshit is almost boundless.
Luckily I seem to be one of those people who are now just annoyed by these attempts to deceive us.
As, I suspect, are most of the people who have resisted the jab and their relentless coercion.
I live in hope that their clumsy attempts to control us via masks, lockdowns, fear, climate change, 15 minute cities etc, has awakened an increasing number of people.
People who will now never let anything the government does, or what their media reports, go unchallenged.
Though it dismays me to see how many are still asleep and fully trusting of it all.
Regarding Ikea, there are always quick routes through, via unobtrusive doors, so I'm usually able to get around there in a few minutes and ignore their system.
I leave the iPhone at home when I leave the house. My son does not understand how I can do that , incredulously asking, “You didn’t bring your phone”?🤨
The other good news is that once we know our chronotype, this empowers us as individuals by harnessing our metabolism through optimal meal times, sleep times, etc:
I recently heard Barry Trower talk about entrainment re: cell phones. He said that our brain waves are affected/can remain the same even 2 hours after getting off a device.
I found out recently that there are doors at IKEA that cut through the maze. I needed to go back for something and a staff member took me back and “cut” through the walls. I never noticed the doors before. They look like a stock room door, but it really is an entry to the other aisles. What would have taken 15 minutes took 5.
Lol! They have some good stuff, but the upholstered furniture is junk. It’s great for a college student or 1st apartment. I like the Market area better and the Cafeteria and Swedish meatballs. And their reusable grocery bags for $1 are great; they fold up and fit in your purse. Especially for those of us in California forced to pay 10¢ for a bag every time we shop. 🤬
Certainly feels like the “COVID Crisis” was like being trapped in a venue with the Gruen Effect, perhaps in part also for entrainment effect on the non-thinking. Emoting and virtue signaling have become a pastime for its own sake even if there is no reasonable basis or rational that warrants such displays. Begins to liken the actual world to the metaverse....illusion not substance. And the illusion is meant to disorient and make one putty in the hands of those who would make you and mold you for their own purposes.
Thanks, Laura! Your comment, for me, highlights how the Parasite Class™ continues to overplay their hand. They are revealing too many of their tactics.
Hmm. I never saw the point in gambling so I was only in a casino twice in my life and spent one roll of quarters I was gifted. I compare gambling to standing in front of a toilet, tossing money in, and flushing.
I also never liked malls much and only went when absolutely necessary, which in this time-line of internet shopping means mall shopping is no longer necessary.
I try to live my life being in tune with my body. I even had a dentist tell me he was amazed at how in tune I was when I diagnosed a tooth issue before it showed on an x-ray.
Maybe these are the reasons I wasn't taken in by the Covid b.s.?
Now wonder where all that money goes that the casinos rake in. Until I started reading One Nation Under Blackmail, I never thought about where all the money from gambling, drug smuggling, gun-running, etc, ended up. Those are huge sums! and much of it -- besides into sketchy banks, read most banks -- goes into real estate, the "hospitality" industry, and other "legitimate" outlets.
My guess is, this continual manipulation of people comes with mounting drawbacks. I think it cultivates anxiety, depression and cage rage over time.
In other words, you can't flood our brains with exotic chemicals and subject us to decades of intense psychological programming without degrading the overall system. You may get short term control, but you've poisoned the well and salted the fields that feed you.
If I'm hearing you correctly, you're positing that the Powers That Shouldn't Be - in their sociopathic quest for control and wealth - have been their own worst enemies (in the long term). If so, I concur with this analysis!
THAT takes first, conscious acceptance of the situation. Second, the will power to make a change. Unfortunately a lot of people are terribly short of will power😞
Wow, Rae...thanks for this firsthand account. Sounds so dystopian.

Thank you, Kathleen, for a realistic yet optimistic appraisal!
Exactly right- the conspiracies are like onions, but so are we. Much more empowering to peel back our own onion.
Oh, beautiful. Why didn't I think of that?😊
I was quite happy with the school year rhythm, and the liturgical rythm, but Covid pretty much scuttled that.
I have been aware of marketing manipulation for a long time.
Now, I am trying to find a rhythm again. Maybe just seasons...Sunrise, sunset...
I like that idea, Jaye. A return to the most basic of rhythms.

Thank you, as always, James. It's fascinating why such folks see as "street smarts," huh?
Another great read Mickey.

There's always a way around their bullshit.
Thank you, EH. I found myself nodding all through your comment!

You are a rare one, Jillian!
Excellent reminder, thanks Mickey Z
🙂

You're welcome! 🙂

Thanks for this info, Renee! 🙂
You’ll notice the doors now the next time you go to IKEA. 😊
I think I've been in IKEA once in my life and that was about 17 years ago!

And my times in IKEA equal ZERO!
This is wonderful news. As a petson with limited energy, I don't appreciate being railroaded through places I don't want to go.

Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin... into the Gruen.
😂

I gambled once in my life, in Macao at the age of 14, and couldn't see what people saw in it. (It was probably illegal that I did even that.)

You nailed it. They're doing the psychological equivalent of hosing down their own cities with depleted uranium rounds.
Thank you, Cliff!
We've been brain chipped without the hardware🤔
And fortunately, it's way easier to disengage!

I concur, my friend, but that's makes it even more important we dedicate time to educate and inspire.
