I have a photo of he and I. If I find it, I'll post it on my Substack.
My time as a radical "celebrity" enabled me to get to know people like Blum, Michael Parenti, Chomsky, Zinn, Cynthia McKinney, and so many more. Even if I eventually and strongly differed from them on some issues, I learned a lot from each.
You know, for quite some time, it seemed Michael Parenti toiled in the shadow of Chomsky. But, as time passes, I find more and more and more folks who declare they learned far more from Michael than Noam. I'm glad he's still around to witness it.
Btw, I interviewed Christian Parenti on my podcast earlier this year!
And thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad we've at least been able to cross paths digitally!
while so much is wrong in the own country, the US is sticking its long nose in the business of others. Most of them without any interest at all. New colonialism....
Thank you for this. I always found it incredibly sad and telling that Dr. Rev. MLK Jr. was taken out only when he began speaking out against war and military imperialism.
“we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”
“It is the task of statesmanship,” said Eisenhower, “to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system — ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.”
🙏
And thanks for citing Bill Blum. I did some events with him a million years ago and we became friends. A genuinely nice man.

And all the while, painting itself as the shining beacon of freedom.
Great job I appreciate your work🙏🏽👊🏼
Thank you!

You're most welcome. Your comment reminded me of Rage Against the Machine (before they sold out to the globalists):
You know they went after King
When he spoke out on Vietnam
He turned the power to the have-nots
And then came the shot
Spot-on lyrics. So f'd up. (And then came a different shot, which RATM went along with enforcing- to see their shows:(.
Nice segue! I guess not all shots are created equal in the minds of "radical" rockers!
