Regarding male rage and violence, even the better schools use shaming, humiliation and guilt as behavioural controls. Many families do too (don't get me started on the Church...). Television and other media shows young viewers that the most powerful people, role models, fictional heroes etc. resort to violence without a qualm. In fact, they feel good about it. They feel bad when they're not dispensing death and beatings. Kids get an early start on poisonous culture. The media diet ensures they don't learn self-discipline or other important mature virtues.
