Just a little side note I learned - On hearing about the successful completion of dropping the A bomb on Hiroshima, a thrilled President Harry S Truman broke into a spontaneous dance.

Yep, on August 6, 1945, Truman stated: “It is an atomic bomb. It is the greatest thing in history.”

What Americans have done is disgusting beyond belief. I am so ashamed of our history

One thing to remember: our government has always been willing to “sacrifice” innocent civilians. Do not think that they won’t think twice about doing that to it’s own “innocent civilians”. They are already beginning to turn that focus within. 😳

Thank you for yet another excellent piece.

This may or may not be true, but I have heard that the US effectively pushed Japan into the war, backing them into a corner with the oil embargo and causing them to either lose face or commit to war.

It was also said that Roosevelt had been given advance warning* about Pearl harbour, but that it was a necessary excuse to enter the war and was not passed on to the Navy.

*Intercepted Japanese radio transmissions from two separate allied sources.

I would have discounted such rumours, were it not for RFK's statement on the Pentagons proposal to JFK, to commit a mass casualty attack on American soil, to facilitate the invasion of Cuba.

Scary stuff.

The sad thing is that no-one, outside of a few awake friends, is even willing to consider that there may be other versions of history that have been actively concealed from us all.

And yes, it can be frustrating when people don't have ears to hear but I feel it's crucial for me to keep digging, learning, and sharing. I feel confident that impact is being felt but perhaps in ways I don't/can't see. Also, I just couldn't be happy if I wasn't questioning!
