Very astute essay. Thanks, Mickey.

Hard to believe, but post - COVID and ensuing plans for global control - that horror pales in comparison.

Maybe part of the reason it's gotten worse (just speculation) was the overall acceptance and lack of questioning of the Sept. 11 narrative in the first place. Even believing it was an external "attack" (which I don't), did so many have to passively buy in to the (falsely created)

"war on terror" for the next 15 years, all the way until TDS and Russiagate took over? Yes, I believe more people have seen through the covid/injection fraud. But too many of these people today either accepted or AFFIRMED the 2001 false flag AND subsequent "war on terror," or aren't old enough to remember it. And a large part of this group are the "Republicans" who rightfully blast Biden, Obama, Clinton, and Democrat swampishness overall; but memory hole or trivialize the entire reign of the Bush regime and its prime mockingbird in the media -- Fox News. As if Sept. 11 and its immediate aftermath isn't a core, enabling foundation for the ultimate propaganda control unleashed in 2020. The only prominent Republican politician I'm aware of who was critical in real time was Ron Paul. Whatever one's personal opinion of Alex Jones, it seems pretty clear he was placed high up on "the list" because of his questoning of the Sept. 11 narrative. Things have steamrolled since.

I wish I'd read this back then. It's tough-minded and compassionate, not disheartening.

Thank you, James...much appreciated. As you may imagine, I got a lot of pushback at the time.

I suspect much of the pushback came from people who struggle with institutionally inculcated helplessness. That 's an unfortunate feature of so many dissident groups. They've been put through social Skinner Boxes and have taken that damage (especially resentment) with them.

Indeed!

If I only had a dollar for how many times I was accused of being "unpatriotic" and "hating" my country.

Your post script is spot on. I wish I had read your article in the aftermath of 9/11. It took me 19 more years to stumble across this wisdom. Our nation needs more truth told in love, even if it is described as negative. I feel as if we are a nation of repetition—A type of hypnotism? Maybe that’s what all the truth tellers of history have had to fight through—a sort of mass hypnotism. Whatever it may be, may God bless the truth tellers and give them discernment and tenacity.

it was bad then, and indeed it has gone to worse. I suppose children still die everywhere of starvation and war. The so - called civilized world has gone completely crazy, people protest there is too much waste and we need to recycle, and then go to the store and buy plastic cups to clean their teeth. Most people seem to have completely lost touch with nature and consider their mowed lawn nature. When I get visitors in my piece of wilderness, some snort and others consider it an oasis. And yes sometimes paradise has snakes in it! Better that than a concrete cubicle. Worst I saw was in HongKong where people live in 'flats' the size of a cupboard.

These numbers seem wildly out of whack.

Which numbers? What does "wildly out of whack" mean to you? Are you implying something with this statement?

This essay is a Wow. So well done. I like your post-script. Sometimes we gotta just tell the truth & stop pretending there's a polite way to examine the destructive nature of our species under a microscope. Or offer easy solutions for pulling the (horrendous) messes we've made (& continue making dailiy) out of the fire. I sooo appreciate your good brain, caring heart & great writing skill. Thank you for telling it like it is! Thank you, & bless you.

Read and appreciated from the neighboring suburbs of New Jersey. What I always tell my children is how it was the first time in my lifetime that I saw America truly unite, flags on every house, yellow ribbons on every tree and not long after there were "9-11 hunting permits" and "let's roll" bumper stickers. I was 25 then and I still can't wrap my head around my very complex feelings.

I signed up to go to nursing school in 2002 with another 100,000 more that year.

Great article Mickey.
