Here in my hometown, they just now got around to ending the mask mandate on public transportation. Yes, it’s September 2022, but New Yorkers were still clinging to their beloved masks. In fact, some of ‘em are vehemently challenging the ending of the mandate.
It reminds me of something Charles Eisenstein said when I interviewed him this summer. After telling me he had just been to the Big Apple, he called the visit “a trip into the past.” He could not believe so many people were still wearing masks.
And so many people are now ready to fight for the masks to be, well… permanent?
“Governor Hochul’s decision to lift the transit mask mandate flies in the face of science and plain common sense,” said Joe Rappaport, head of the Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled. “Masks work, and they are hardly an imposition on riders. The governor’s decision is particularly disturbing in the wake of the predominant BA.5 variant, which spreads rapidly and easily.”
If you don’t think we’re in the midst of a relentless, coordinated psyop, reread Rappaport’s quote a few dozen times.
Sadly various demographics have diverse approach to virtue signaling obedience..... I suspect it is a matter of finding something that undo those triggers for people to stop obeying nonsense.
Like I said on the Naked Emperors Newsletters today:
So New York ended a public transportation mandate for masks that for the most part don't prevent transmission of Covid, because there is a new booster that doesn't prevent transmission? That about sums up Covid Policy. Anything goes but actual science.
