Great meme selection. I remember, from when I was a kid, thinking the only hope for the NATO imperium was a leader like Marcus Aurelius. The republics were obviously gutted and the system was following its own destructive logic. But better management might buy it some stable years. It didn't take long to realize that wasn't in the cards.
