Instead of gloom & doom, you can leave a legacy of hope for the next generation

Reminder: YOU have the power to make a difference in the lives of others
I still help Laura but I know the time is coming soon that she’ll no longer need it. In the meantime, she is doing her best to pay it forward and be a beacon of light for others.
She’s working as an art teacher for kids. The images here are just some of the budding artists Laura is inspiring on a regular basis. These children live in a strict cultural environment. Laura’s class is where they get to spread their wings and explore their imaginations.
I’m so proud of Laura as she pursues her artistic ministry… and so honored to be indirectly connected to the joy in these kids’ lives!
As Fred “Mister” Rogers once said: “Anyone who does anything to help a child in their life is a hero to me.”
If you’re curious how what role offering help played in her transformation, here’s something Laura wrote to me just a few months ago:
“Thank you so much for everything!!! You believed in me and helped me when I lost my smile and I couldn't even speak. It meant the world that you thought of me just like you continue to do for other women who think life gave up on them. It's so good to have that to look forward to, really, I truly looked forward to your visits even when I couldn't speak. You made me believe that there was hope left! Now look where I am! None of that would have been close to possible if you hadn't given me that little bit of sunshine once in a while. It made me feel deserving of love again. It's a huge help to so many even if they don't say anything, I know that. You are a cherished person to sooooo many women and will always be a cherished friend to me.”
This is a superpower we all share. All it takes is a desire to learn and serve to be a productive helper.

You are a good tree!

We need more of you and Laura’s in the world. Like you said, we all have this ability to realize this truth, “be the change we wish to see in the world.”
