Inbreeding in Arab & Muslim nations, socialism is NOT what you think it is & a couple of MLK's less popular quotes
I wondered about writing this post as it could elicit reflexive cries of racism or Islamaphobia. Would it even be worth it? But when we consider that Islam is a rapidly growing religion, why not share some information that I never hear being discussed?
As someone who’s actually read The Quran, I feel it’s of value to shine a light on the reality that inbreeding is not uncommon within Arabic and Muslim countries. (For the record, inbreeding also seems to be prevalent with Hindus but I didn’t find a whole lot of recent research.)
If nothing else, the info below can serve as yet another reminder of what happens in plain sight while we get distracted by celebrity culture, fake news, partisan role-playing, and increasingly ridiculous “conspiracy theories.”
While precise numbers are not always easy to nail down, here are a few of the high-end Arab/Muslim inbreeding estimates that some contemporary researchers accept:
Qatar: 54 percent
Sudan: 63 percent
Kuwait: 64 percent
Iraq: 65 percent
Palestine: 66 percent
Saudi Arabia: 67 percent
Jordan: 69 percent
Pakistan: 70 percent (Note: In England, at least 55 percent of Pakistani immigrants are married to their first cousins)
Egypt: 80 percent
Not surprisingly, such rates appear to correlate with proportionately elevated risks of genetic disorders, congenital heart diseases, renal diseases, rare blood disorders, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and other deleterious outcomes like developmental delays and low IQ.
The implications are massive and should not be ignored.
I’m saddened but not surprised that most people are too afraid, indifferent, or unaware to talk about topics like this (e.g. child marriage).
On some level, we can all sense just how dysfunctional and diabolical things are across the board — in all cultures — but yet we consistently convince ourselves to remain on the sidelines in one way or another.
In other news, I’m not a socialist and I don’t follow or defend any such ism. That said, I’m a huge fan of discernment so I recently watched this very short video about socialism in theory:
If you can handle these 3.5 minutes without your emotions taking control of your senses, you’ll see that there’s one big thing “wrong” about socialism: Humanity is not yet up to the task. It requires so much cooperation and trust and well… look around.
That said, it’d still be a good baby step forward as we work our way toward the promised land.
As for what’s “wrong” with capitalism, here’s a small sampling:
Finally, for MLK Day, two of his quotes that won’t be as widely shared today:

Is there a systemic element to inbreeding among Muslims?
I ask because of my experience in genealogy. Endogamous populations are far more common than is generally realized. Island populations such as the Azores or the Hebrides can produce some pretty dense family trees. One of my own great-grand-parent lines come from a notoriously inter-related population, the Cape Breton McNeils.
So I'm curious.
“Socialism-humanity is not yet up to the task”- that’s it’s, summed up. A society like that can only work when it’s assumed voluntarily. And even then, the natural man has to overcome a lot for it to work. The Mormons tried socialism, called it “The United Order”, and rebranded it “the law of consecration”. It failed because people got scared and angry and greedy (all natural emotions). The modern “law of consecration” is not currently being enforced, but those who have covenanted to obey it could, hypothetically, be called upon at any time to practice this way of living. I don’t think it’s going to work any time soon.
