Seems even some folks I consider(ed?) quite bright have been interacting with that HELLISH thing. I guess calling it AI was easier than calling it FBI-CIA-DOD. I am pretty sure you cannot use AI to kill AI. I am also quite sure that AI will easily kill us, individually or collectively. Apparently it is already in place for guiding financial systems, for years. No wonder, eh?

Yep, they use the alphabet to mix up the letters but it all points back to the same source.

Well said, Mickey. They cultivate hatred, fear, despair, alienation. It's beyond cynical.

Thank you, James. As I witness so many folks slide into mindsets that do not serve the greater good, I feel compelled to regularly present this reminder.

And they prey upon the mentally weak and unstable. I think beyond cynical is a very good description.

Wow, this is terrifying Bad enough that we can experience bad dreams over a time, on the spiritual level, or our so-called, human friends in HS who try to influence us toward the dark side….. I’m freaked out when I hear that a 4 yr old is making friends with Alexa for their interactions, thinking they are talking to a real person. Having an Imaginary friend, as I think I did, when I was 5 years old, the way our older generation used to do, back then, was a companion from books, someone to talk to….not the same as AI. My neighbors are very proud that they frequently interact with their Alexa…… Nopers……OMG ~~~~~maybe I have mentioned here that in my 20s I tried the ouija board, gave me a good scare that night, never again….knew better too…

It's so pervasive, Sharon. It will require diligence and commitment (as always) to avoid being influenced.

Same. Never again.

Wow

Yes, and in my case if not previously mentioned here, “it was a dark and stormy night,” Really. Dark red drapes at the windows, in old house, and most frightening, she was also a baby foster mom for babies waiting for adoption. University exec on the campus as well.

Wow, I never knew ouija boards were supposed to be scary. We thought they were toys when I was a kid in the 1960s, making Twilight Zone noises as we played with ours.

That stuff about Alexa, now that's scary! and creepy!

Igor Chudov published an article yesterday mentioning a person or bot harassing lots of Substackers and other people. You were not listed but several I follow, are.https://igorchudov.substack.com/p/are-substack-authors-targeted-by

I have it in my files in case someone mentions it

Wow....thanks for this, Ingrid!

Make sure to check out this comment, too. I'm getting constant notifications from "Hannah Williams". It looks like a clumsy marketing scheme more than anything else. Still creepy, though.

I'm getting that one, too. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah. I found a couple of likes by "Hannah Williams" who was mentioned. And I don't even write content

Where do these lurk? I am not aware that I have been involved but I have to be proactive

Good question. It is becoming increasingly difficult to discern where and when AI is interacting with us.

Is anyone here following Joe Allen’s writings on War Room re AI -Singularity, with a book coming out soon. His detailed presentations are mind-blowing, a church background, so he knows the dangers. ~~~~Grieving that we have been so blind, trusting and dismissive of the creeping evils, in movies, schools and vocabulary. There is a sad “staying pure” idea that if we don’t know anything we are more safe …..?!?

I'll have to look up Joe Allen. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’ll never forget watching Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 Space Odyssey where HAL the AI member of the spaceship tried to take over and murder the astronauts who saw its malfunctioning and were trying to shut it down. Seemed so wild and outrageous but it feels like this was an omen of times to come. And maybe Arthur Clarke who penned the story was aware of how 2001 would be earmarked the year that the evil forces would commence the last battle.

All the murders in One Nation Under Blackmail! My current favorite is Mark Middleton who facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's many visits to the Clinton White House (usually with beautiful women in tow). He "committed suicide" last year by hanging himself with an extension cord then a shotgun blast to the chest (very little blood at the scene, neat trick, heh?).

My goal is to outlive some of these monsters, pretty pathetic goal.

I've had interesting conversations with friends about whether AI can be "redeemed" by humans role-modeling genuine love and joy to it.

But in order for that to be possible, we'd first have to actively choose to be the one influencing AI rather than the one influenced by it.

How many people even know how to generate love in their heart, let alone hold that frequency when speaking to a chatbot, do you think?

Expand full comment

Fascinating line of thought!

As you know, we all inherently know how to generate love in our heart and hold that frequency but I don't know how many still believe they can and/or that it matters?

Expand full comment

You think so? It took me 50+ years to realize that my partner had no feeling for me. He was exactly like his parents who demonstrated no love for their children. He's trying to deal with this now at the age of 71, but it is a long, difficult struggle.

Expand full comment

They're really hyping up the power of AI.

It's really just another database not unlike a search engine index.

The only difference is that many people think anything that can speak their language must be alive.

It's not sentient. It never will be as long as it's a tool of propaganda.

It is and will remain a machine if it's being tweaked to push bullshit.

Did this stuff start merging into the mainstream in the 60s? Not just Hal, but Star Trek, The Time Tunnel, The Fantastic Voyage, etc. Foundation set with intelligence experiments in the 50s? Interesting book on rock scene, "Weird Scenes Inside the (Laurel) Canyon," David McGowan.
