My ex husband worked in a nuclear power plant. With the Chernobyl disaster pills were handed out. He told me the alarm went off when people came in with a home grown salad... and that the best place to be in a nuclear war was exactly where the bomb falls, then you are dead on the spot. Otherwise, you will die a sad death within the next few years. I don't know if any of these shelters will protect anyone. Just hoping politicians will be smarter than to use nuclear bombs to solve a stupid conflict they caused themselves.
scary isn't it? that is how much fall out we had there in Belgium, which is quite a way off. I wonder how bad it was closer to the plant, and how many people died from cancers caused by it. My ex tried to convince dad from eating the veggies from the yard, but then you have to buy them at the store, where they come from 5 miles away LOL
Thanks, GD. These billionaire clowns must know that the mercenaries they hire to protect them will eventually turn on them.
I hope the oligarchs enjoy a little banjo music.
🤣
Thanks, Malo. I vaguely recall that series. Today, we have PSAs here in NYC telling us how simple it is to survive a nuke strike.
One generation had fallout shelters. This one has masks.
🤬🥺
🙃
I grew up in a NJ suburb. My father had brochures for underground fallout shelters that could be built in our backyard.
The powers that shouldn't be are SO invested in keeping us anxious and dependent [sic] on them.
Wooord

This made me shudder: "the alarm went off when people came in with a home grown salad"
