
Part of the First Amendment reads: “Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.”
For most of 2020 and often beyond, how many of you could peaceably assemble in the church, temple, mosque, or ashram of your choice?
I thought of this when I happened upon a photo (above) that I took in May 2020 in my neighborhood.
This was a violation of the Bill of Rights — with zero science to support it.
Reminder: “All men are created equal [and] are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government … When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
The government has forgotten all about the law. Not one church hereabouts stayed open, which meant to me they all serve the government rather than God. I worship in the woods now and avoid all churches. And whoever asks me about it, I tell them what I think of the whole mess !
I've often given thought to souls. It's one of those big questions and many things flow from it. The Church, sadly, almost never fails to disappoint in the stewardship role it's supposed to play, especially when it comes to souls. Thank God for heretics and near-heretics...
