thankfully to every bad there is a good ! thanks to the scamdemic, I realized that the people I thought were friends were not really, and that some I hardly thought of, were the real ones ! There is no hatred, but the old ones are now drifting towards others they more agree with, and the 'islands' are just changing form and countenance ! Plenty of people out there ! all different, all unique.

My uncle Matt ("crazy Matt," they called him) was a cop, a good cop, a fun, loving and fun-loving cop. At his funeral, the church was packed, with an overflow crowd outside in the pouring rain. Half the San Francisco police force was there, along with the former mayor and other city officials.

There were many stories shared about Matt, how he would go into tense situations, bar fights, brawls, domestic disputes and use his listening skills and offbeat humor to defuse the situation and de-escalate the anger. Typically, he would walk all the parties out of the building, no handcuffs, no guns drawn, just people strolling out with violence averted.

Wow! - fantastic gems of relationship wisdom here, Mickey - as you say, it's all about communication and developing the skills, which require us to rein in ego - that's the hard part! Thanks!!

Amen, Will! We're all so susceptible to pride but in order to be a work-in-progess, we have to be doing the work! 🙏
