Nothing like a good book on real printed paper!

Great post. I strongly believe there's a spark of something in almost everyone. That spark wants a better existence than the vacuous, dangerous hamster wheeling of a narrative-driven life.

I do not have a TV. I hate TV any place and I hate people using their portable computers. We have minds and thoughts and emotions. USE THEM. We survived because of that

Breaking millions of dollars of conditioning starts with a free choice, turn off the machine. Touch grass, see some sky, see some real meat faces.

Very keen and important, somewhat spooky, observation. Yes, we ARE auto-programming all the time. We should start reading poetry, novels, all the Russian stuff we put off (I did anyway) instead of all the Digital junk food. You're a great soul Mickey. PS I have not forgot what I said I would do.

Thank you, all around, Celia. 😍

I take a book to Planet Fitness to walk on the treadmill in winter-time (in the past).

Haha you can imagine how out of touch someone feels who hates cell phones (I have one but it usually is turned off, used only in emergency and when on the road), who never goes to restaurants and theaters and the likes, but prefers to sit on the sofa with the dog, knitting ! I somehow am living 100 years ago, with the exeption of my computer, of course, which is my newspaper, mailman, TV, and I got kindle on it (although I prefer a paper book)

I long ago stopped using collective terms such as people or human beings. I'm not proud of this but I now call them entities, as in the phrase "masked entities."

Also, I rarely used the words Satanic or Luciferian until three years ago. Now I use them daily.

I hear you. I *never* used the term "evil" i the past when analyzing current world events. Now, in line with your comment, I do so daily.

Totally get this! I studiously avoided the word evil when I was young, but no longer. What else can one call the planned annihilation of millions of people because they are apparently "inconvenient" and require "thinning"? Evil has become such a norm people don't even blink when confronted with it or asked to support it.

A couple weeks without electricity would certainly bring everything around

Thank you. I thought I was alone in this.

TV "programming" is everywhere. It's like the early version of the Matrix. Clunky but still effective, obviously. Another place is airports - lots of tvs at airports. Even Jiffy Lube has a tv going in the waiting room.

I cannot stand TV in public places!!!!!!!! I stopped going to a particular eye clinic due to TVs in their waiting rooms, even the tiny one. I take my vehicles to a mechanic with no TV in sight. I never go inside airports or gyms. When I'm using the exercise bike, I watch the clouds go past the windows.

That said, I do have TV at home, primarily to watch the weather reports (very important when you garden, very important when you heat with wood from your own woods -- I only run a particular woodstove when the nighttime temp is at least down to the mid-twenties). But I confess I do watch old TV shows on DVDs -- shows where men cross their legs the same as women do, people use candlestick telephones, and the elevator operator reads books all day.

Yes, very true. We are all controlled. Ever hear of George Gerbner? He warned people way back in the 70s that society was becoming homogenized due to watching TV. He said it was the first time in history where everyone was exposed to the same experiences via TV. You can watch videos of him online. But now, we have smart phones and just about everything is becoming "smart," i.e., digitized. People sit their babies in front of an iPad to keep them quiet. Of course, their brains are slowly being turned into mush, but at least they're quiet...

Wow, I haven't heard the name George Gerbner in a SO long! Thanks for that reminder, Meri!
