I enjoyed my time in NYC and there are things I still miss about it, but I cannot imagine living someplace where I cannot look out any window and see lots of trees and birds and green growing things. One of my doggies was outside this morning and he came in smelling like outdoors and snow, a wonderful smell!

thanks for the pics ! have a great time. It struck me, that the macdonalds looks kinda devilish between the beautiful old buildings. It should be forbidden to paint them so different from their surrounding I think.

You're welcome and I concur! I took that photo partly because of the way the black paint looked eerily out of place!

Besties are gold! Luv these pics; happy to see no masks (?). Also, that church interior is hypnotic! Awesome you two are having such a fun time:)!

Thank you, Malika! 💕 Yes, we are such compatible friends. As for mask, NYC is displaying slightly fewer of them but I'm also careful to not include them in photos I share.

Back when I lived in NYC Grace Church was quite evangelical, don't know about now. Episcopal churches range widely, from very low (evangelical) to broad to high (highly ritualized, closely resembling old-style RCC services). I used to go into Grace Church just to sit quietly, especially before going to work (second shift).

My mothers sister stayed with us last fall and we explored the city she grew up in (where I currently reside in downtown). You see a lot more than you normally walk past when it’s with a person who hasn’t seen it in a long while

Well said, my friend. It's very healthy for our brains to see familiar surroundings with new eyes.
