In the very early days of this Substack, I made a post called “The System Isn't Broken, It’s Fixed.” Since not enough folks got to see it back then, I wanna re-post an excerpt and the link now:
Yep. It's working pretty much the way it's supposed to. I can't count the number of times people have told me that they couldn't live if they believed that. I try to explain that it's not a belief and it's not something that gives me any satisfaction to convey. It's an awful, painfully and empirically demonstrated reality. I also get annoyed by the melodrama of, "I couldn't live if...", especially when it comes from people who have done quite well in managerial ranks of the system.
Thanks Mickey - this is SUCH an important point.... For example, our medical system isn't "broken" - it's working exactly as intended by those who run it; same is true of media, government, and education systems. Thanks for this reminder - It takes quite a while to see through the smokescreen of "inefficiency" and "mistakes/incompetence" and actually see the clever hand.

Thank you, my friend...I can't think of anything to add!

You said it, James. So many folks I know push right up to the edge and then back off because they simply refuse to see.
Or as a client of mine was fond of saying, the system is working exactly as it was designed to.
Such a valuable recognition.
When the system is rigged find a work around or get fleeced.

Thanks, as always, my friend. Much appreciated.
And this work never ends. Look at Chomsky, suddenly now getting fooled by propaganda. W can never let our guard down.
Right - probably he's fooled - or maybe something else...
