Add growing and eating healthy food to the list of actions that no one would regret, everyone would take pride in, heck, just the feeling of regular flow through is fantastic!

As an aside, but maybe relevant to a few.

I have more encounters with woodchucks than normal this growing season and one learned to climb my garden fences and help itself. Devastated many of the crops, but being the wise one I have two other growing areas apart from this one. Still grew plenty of food for myself, and the woodchuck.

Did you know there are crops woodchucks don't eat, raccoons have their favorites too, and on learning a seemingly infinite number of nuances, so figure out that would you please, on your own!

Thanks, Rick! And I've never seen a woodchuck "in person"!

Haha Rick, what little grows in my very poor soil garden, usually gets eaten by someone else but me! A deer, wild pigs, rabbits, crickets, caterpillars, ants, you name it. But I am grateful for every leaf they let me have ! And grateful for the dog and the cats, and the online friends. Disappointed in the humans I thought friends, but in the woods with the furry ones, I feel totally blessed! Happy Halloween, All Saints and All Souls days !

Great photos, Mickey, especially the racoons. I live in a city now, but when I lived in the countryside I shared space with all manner of interesting beasties. One was a mama bear. She was a super mama: she had large litters and the cubs usually made it to adulthood. I'd see her and her family several times a year when I was hiking with my dog. I miss that, but I'm still grateful to have had a glimpse of their lives.

Thanks Mickey - great reminder - the more we see the big picture, the more appreciation we feel for every little beauty and grace surrounding us and within us - the more we savor the very few days we actually have on this beautiful and misunderstood Earth...

Thanks. Great grounding topic! Another grateful and miracle? That we even exist in the first place and can comprehend ourselves and the people and world around us!

Thank you, David. Excellent addendum! I try my best to recognize the myriad miracles in my daily (hourly) life but - like everyone else - I need constant reminding.
