I think we want to do something, and our first instinct is to find someone to lead us. It closes us off from the option of taking up our own cause. I fell for that after the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Just left with a broken heart.

Amen: "It closes us off from the option of taking up our own cause."

Ha, I just recommended your Substack, and mentioned that you wrote about activism, both fake and real.

Aw, you are SO sweet...much appreciated!

Great advice! We all need to remember to question everything until we know for ourselves what is truth and what to do about non-truths

Thank you! I don't like to jump to conclusions so I figured it was best to ask for clarification. 😂

The most effective activism is in your wallet. Put them out of business. And vote the bums out!

Excellent advice. No one needs to trade one hamster wheel for another.

I love how casually you condense my posts into a sentence!

Outstanding article, Mickey! That Pro Tip is a tall order in today's world but a great pearl of wisdom nonetheless. Thank you!

Yes! I wholeheartedly agree. There are so many opinions out there. It's hard to know sometimes whether someone is "controlled opposition" or whether they're just misguided or perhaps overly guided by the ego, the need to be right about everything or for their religion/political party to be the "right" one.

As someone who still considers herself to be a "liberal," I've found this "health freedom" movement, or whatever it is, to be rather disappointing. Too many "leaders" within it act like some of what we're experiencing is new, for example, when much of this tyranny has been going on for decades, but many of us didn't speak out because it didn't affect them. The WEF's plan for us to own nothing while, of course, they own everything, is one example. It's nothing new. We're just starting to notice because it's becoming painfully obvious.

Also the people who keep making this to be all about partisan politics or Christianity really amaze me. I guess they don't want "liberals" or nonChristians to fight for freedom too? Or are they using this movement, which is supposed to be about freedom, just to promote their own personal ideology?

Maybe I'm a perfectionist, but I read about the 60s and why some people think it failed, and I'm seeing a similar pattern forming here... We may very well just need divine intervention because I don't think that we, the people, are able to save ourselves. To do that, we need to work together cooperate in a way that we Americans just aren't accustomed to doing.

I hope that I am wrong about this.

Meri! I read your comment twice and both times, I just kept nodding along. Thank you for articulating your thoughts in such a useful and astute way. It helps increase my trust that people can and will do the work to break old patterns and embrace new ideas.

Well, we'll see... I'd like to be as optimistic as you are, but we are also dealing with human nature too...

Thinking sure is an American pastime that needs some refreshing. What do you see those young people waking up to...the effects of the jab?
