I have this idea that before there were cell phones, we did our very best to be on time. We played in the woods as kids and mom 's voice was the sign to come home. All the modern stuff is like an invisible cage. Lift up your eyes is a good advice. I am surprised so few cellphone addicts run around without banging into everything on their way!

Thank you, Ingrid! Lots of wisdom in your reply, and this jumps out to me: "We did our very best to be on time." Technology has covertly made us lazy with our manners.

My almost 92 year old friend, former 'travelling' nurse, told me the story of how she met up somewhere on her route with another nurse. No phones, just a watch, and doing their very best - and they never missed an appointment! Yes, I think manners are involved, seeing how good manners are being lost all over. Thankfully there are still a few gentlemen around to hold the door!

I opened John's new website and stumbled right onto this post, that wonderfully explains what we were about

The loss of human contact because of cell phones and computers...

I just picked up a Holy Water like that one on Sunday. I like the toothbrush idea! That is a great way to connect while we digitally disconnect.

I concur, Tony! During this time that I've had Jupiter staying with me, I've come to see how much time I waste in trivial pursuits.
