The fires are burning everywhere...
Of course, since it’s unlikely that anyone reading this post is in a position to do anything on the ground to help with the fires in and around Los Angeles, we should all be praying with diligent authenticity for the best possible outcomes.
But to the masses who are posting non-stop about how upset they are about the fires — or about any tragedy for which they don’t have the material resources to help — I must say:
Metaphorical fires are burning everywhere.
Surely, you can aim some of that angst into productive action for those beings who are well within your reach.
It could be a stray cat momma who just gave birth in a parking lot near your home.
Maybe it’s an elderly person who needs someone to check on them a couple of times a week.
Perhaps an individual is living in their car in your town and you can make a difference by purchasing hygiene products or helping them get access to a regular shower.
What about that neighbor who gets home late and would feel a lot safer if someone met her at the subway station?
All of these — and an infinite number of other scenarios — are fires raging out of control all over the planet.
There are emergencies everywhere — including wherever you are.
We all know what to do in an emergency: Stop with the blah-blah-blah and get busy doing the work-work-work.
It doesn’t have to require money (although you could start a fundraiser for someone). You almost certainly don’t need specialized skills. The primary attributes demanded of you are commitment and compassion.
Such resolute efforts can be your way to reject virtue-signaling and enter the realm of enduring, productive action.
Not only will this change the lives of others, but it will generate positive transformational shifts within you.
kindness is ALWAYS the best choice for all of us

Thank you for the reminder. I think fires "over there" can easily distract from work needed right where we are.
But it can be overwhelming. So many "fires".
But...we can throw the starfish back into the ocean One. At. A. Time. Each one will be given their life back
Absolutely nailed it MZ.👍🦘🇦🇺😀
