Some of what I've learned in my 2 years on Substack
controlled opposition, free thinking, adverse events & more
On October 15, I mark two years on Facebook Jr., I mean… Substack.
Here are just a handful of the lessons I’ve learned in these past 24 months:
EVERYONE is controlled opposition or a spy — literally every single person (except you, of course).
You don’t have to speak the truth to be a self-anointed “truther.”
You don’t have to think freely to be a self-anointed “free thinker.”
Never, ever examine or criticize male behavior when you can simply blame everything on that darn “me too.”
Always be afraid. Be very afraid.
If anyone gets sick or dies, automatically blame the jab.
When trying to describe current fascist or corporate-capitalist behavior, you must label it “communist” or “Marxist.”
All “jokes” aside, I wanna focus on two highlights from my time here:
I created some very meaningful connections with people who — in 2021 — didn’t even know I existed! I feel so blessed to find them and I look forward to deepening our bond.
I’ve been reminded firsthand just how generous folks can be. The amount of support I’m getting for my efforts to help vulnerable souls has been awe-inspiring. I’m humbled and honored — and please keep it coming:
My project, “Helping Homeless Woman (& Others) - NYC” marks its seventh anniversary on October 16.

Haha, thank you for these entertaining (and sadly true) insights, Mickey, and happy two-year Stackiversary!! Connecting with genuinely kind, creative, and thoughtful souls like you more than offsets the negatives you rightly observed. I am grateful you are here and feel honored to call you a friend 🤗
I enjoy your articles, Mickey, thanks. Please keep on trucking.
