As a newer subscriber to your 'stack, I read each one of the essays you included in this post. Wow! Love the insight. The quiet, introspective, observant person might be viewed by others as meek, and yet this is very often the person who has deep resilience and strength to lead the charge against tyranny. Just my humble observation! ps, I especially loved reading about your mom. Miss my mom every day even 18 years after she left this physical realm.
