I see Jupiter has you well trained already! I recognize that face wherever I see it!
Yesterday was one year since my Mom died. I called dad (our usual day) - he held firm. I am so proud of him, how he coped. Of course, the wonderful home, the people surrounding him, all the activity, will help a lot. But after almost 70 years together, I really was afraid he would not live but a few months without her. He is even starting to get militant about the large number of meds that cause more harm than good! 92 and going strong again.
Thank you for sharing as you mark a sad anniversary, Ingrid. I'm sending prayers and virtual hugs to you and your Dad. May God bless him with more healthy and fiesty years!
P.S. Jupiter is such a sweetie. Sure, like all of us, she has her wants and her ways to get what she wants, but I've closely known dozens of cats in my life, and Jupi truly stands out as a one of one.
I am back at a homeless shelter, better conditions than the last one. My ex husband got a divorce behind my back and it’s not illegal in Florida for him to hack my phone if he was paying the bill. I am free of my mistake of rushing into the marriage. I’m looking forward to starting my physical healing now. I definitely know that God was with me every single moment & met a couple wonderful people along the way. Praying for guidance. Thank you for helping people who fall through the cracks! You are a blessing in my life.
Rosalind!!! Thank YOU for sharing all this amazing news. God is indeed with you, and I am smiling ear to ear as I read of you following His ordered steps.
Thank you for your kind words, my friend, but I'd much rather keep the focus on your crooked places being made straight right before our eyes! God bless you over and over again...
You have a hreat personable cat. When i was 9, my buddy and i would sneak out of our homes, meet up and walk ti where the train chugging thru downtown Fort Worth slowed a bit rounding a curve. Yep. We hopped those noisy, smoky freight trains and jumped off downtown close to Mrs.Baird's Bakery where the baker,at 3 A.M.sold us a hot loaf, unsliced . The railroad "Bulls" never did catch us.

I love your stories Mickey. My husband grew up in Brighten Beach near the elevated train as well. You really need to write your memoir.
Thank you, my kind friend. And yes, Brighton Beach is another neighborhood partly shaped by the presence of "the el"!
I appreciate your encouragement about writing a memoir. Perhaps the time has come!
Blessings to you and your family...
Thanks Mickey!

Rosalind, I hope this is the beginning of something wonderful
Thanks, praying for guidance and (lol) better discernment!
I had to chuckle.
My tired eyes read the first line. "Elevated train" somehow became "grain elevator" and my brain went "Huh?", because I know you're not a prairie boy!
But really, even the thought of strolling down along the rails strikes fear!
🤣 🤣 🤣

Thanks, Rick, for sharing this version of boys seeking adventure!
