Meme Sunday drop.... is always a day to look forward to with Mickey Z!
I love the fiddle story, and I can relate. Twenty years ago I became interested in the great highland bagpipes and learned to play well enough to play in several local pipe bands. Ten years ago I became interested in golf course management and wound up as superintendent at a small nine hole course in my neighborhood after three grueling years learning how hard agronomy really is (be kind to the men and women who keep your course in top shape, it is extremely trying and always at the mercy of nature). I have also learned to bang around on an old piano I acquired and continue to learn to play the guitar. Six months ago I was a hunt and peck (typist?), but I have been taking typing lessons online. I am up to nearly 45 wpm with a 95% accuracy. In addition, I became interested in watchmaking, and started a few classes last fall. I’ve purchased and repaired more than a dozen old mechanical watches for myself and a few others for friends. Never stop learning new skills. Ever. I’ll be 59 in November. Career change can come at any age! Can’t wait to find out where I will go next 😎
