May 27 was Kenny’s 61st birthday. He’s one of my long-time regulars who has become a dear friend.

Among other things, I gave him an old-school birthday card, and I wrapped at least one of his presents. After all, who knows how long it’s been since he’s unwrapped a gift or received a traditional card.

A few of the gifts I got for Kenny this year

Kenny is a praying man who loves the Blessed Mother, so this gift really made him smile.

He and I shared some warm hugs on Wednesday, and I felt such gratitude for being called to this mission.
