How the U.S. is like a casino (2024 update)

I wrote a post called “How the U.S. is like a casino” more than two years ago — and I stand by it. That said, before re-sharing for all of you who missed it, I opted to update the post a little to keep up with the current zeitgeist.

2024 Addendum: As I re-read this post now, I can’t help but view it through the lens of what’s become of “truthers,” “free thinkers,” and the “medical freedom movement.” They’re willfully victimized by entrainment, too.

In the casino, they’re metaphorically patting themselves on the back for having the awareness to choose blackjack while the “sheep” gather around the slot machines in their masks.

To repeat, entrainment refers to “an individual's chrono-biological, physical, and behavioral relationship with their environment.” Until you embrace your inner awareness, you’re occupying the same environment as those you deride. It’s a false conflict and, unless shifted, the only winners are The Powers That Shouldn’t Be™.

Please cash in your chips and leave the casino.
