We live in a bubble. In the 17 or so years since we moved here, we've never had more than 8 masked visitors. We aren't at the end of a long dark road. We are always lit up and decorated, if we're at home.
Now that our youngest is not a child, we don't even have his friends popping by.
Halloween candy is now more of a hazard to OUR aging physiques!
And tomorrow I will find a Mass for All Saints' Day
Long live the black cats ! No candy ever in this house. No corn syrup either. And yes, my holiday is all saints as well. In Europe halloween we never did halloween, or may be some a pumpkin... only in the last 25 years or so it has become somewhat popular. I am surprised it is such a big hit here! Seems like some of your neighbors have it all made LOLOL
