When will you STOP trusting the powers-that-shouldn't-be?
A 2021 Brown University study found:
Children born during the pandemic have significantly reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic. Moreover, we find that males and children in lower socioeconomic families have been most affected. Results highlight that even in the absence of direct SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 illness, the environmental changes associated COVID-19 pandemic are significantly and negatively affecting infant and child development.
As a result of this ^, the CDC didn't apologize or recant. Instead, they altered the developmental milestones schedule to make the lockdown-related changes look “normal.”

That term always irked; born of imprisonment, then spread to nighbourhoods then towns under the duress of a shooting or some other disaster. Boston was the first city I recall being buttoned-up entirely after the marathon bombing there: First Boston, then the World!
