Can we balance self-reflection & contempt?
What a drag it is…
Last week, I shared this post:
To be radically honest, I felt it was a clear-cut case of exposing undeniable wrongdoing.
However, within an hour or so, I had SEVEN (free) subscribers choose to unsubscribe.
(I have a theory of sorts: A couple of the unsubscribes could be folks who found my Substack via my connection to some philosophical writers. They may not expect me to speak in such blunt, material terms, and this freaked them out. Viewing me as unenlightened, they recoil and retreat.)
Anyway, the number of rapid-fire unsubscribes led me to ask, in a comment: “Can you imagine being so emotionally invested in such creepiness that you refuse to be exposed to any evidence to the contrary?”
One reader replied: “Good riddance. Whoever they are, they are seriously disturbed.”
And I agreed.
Another reader replied: “I can. I had to unlearn that myself. It gets easier with practice and the driving necessities of seeking integrity. It helps when you have people who are worth the effort. I hope they get there, too.”
And I agreed.
I won’t back down on calling out the grooming of children but I will admit to being torn as to how to react when someone doesn’t see shit like “drag story hour” as a dangerous trend.
After all, I can easily look back on my life and see how frequently I’ve taken a flawed stance — often in a public forum — based on groupthink.
So, who am I to judge? However, when the safety of children is at risk, who am I not to judge?
I’ll keep doing the work and carving out the most honest path I can discern — doing my best to stay as open as I can. But, like everyone else, I’ll take my share of missteps.

I am going to keep repeating it: the left is normalizing the sexualization, disabling, mutilating, sterilizing and killing of children. They are normalizing pedophilia. In the process they are destroying the very idea and magic of sex. It is of a piece with transhumanist depopulation in the name of saving the earth. It is a social pestilence and it is killing the host.
I suspect those seven were looking for better idolatry, rather than a way out of it altogether. That aside, what passes for progressivism/liberalism is now indisputably bugfuck nuts and wholly anti-survival. Once kids become uncontested prey for adult kink and fetish, that's the death of society. If it can't protect the vulnerable, it's not worth having.
