This post is a mixed bag that has little to do with the title — and that’s kinda the point. The alphabet agencies do what they do regardless of which group of “revolutionaries” is currently at play. I’ve been writing about this for decades.
Reminder: Censorship, disinformation, propaganda, and sabotage didn’t start (or end) in March 2020.
Two suggested books to catch up on history:
Killing Hope: US Military and CIA Interventions since World War II, by William Blum
The CIA's Greatest Hits, by Mark Zepezauer
Some posts of mine to re-visit:
So, why the clickbait marketing? Because it’s not marketing. I’m simply fascinated by Substack and how easily it tricks us into thinking its purpose is different than Twitter or Facebook.
Case in point: Yesterday, I had the audacity — the unmitigated gall — to make a post about fitness. In no time at all, I got a flood of notifications from free subscribers who were disabling emails to Post-Woke.
Yep, the “truth warrior” hive mind has zero time or patience for content that doesn’t promote fear, doom, division, and falsehoods. So much so that, rather than merely deleting that particular email, the “free thinkers” must literally censor anyone who might not deliver their next fix.
Maybe I should’ve named my article: “Stretching is a psyop!”
Speaking of social media manipulation, have you ever heard of “captology”?
“Technology rewires us in innumerable ways. Computers all around us lead us to change our behaviors. In other words, they persuade us. The study of captology focuses on how technology rewires our brains.”

And to close things out, here are some recent photos of mine for your non-doom viewing pleasure:
It would be deeply appreciated if you’d sign up to be a paid subscriber for as little as $5 per month (less than 17 cents a day) — it directly enables this blog/podcast to keep going and growing. You can find the link at the bottom of the post.

Blum was a great guy. I corresponded with him years ago. He kept his mental agility well into old age.
Paying attention to circadian rhythm is one of the things that helps me break out of my tendency to doom ideation. There's a lot to be said for direct exposure to early morning and whatever sunset you can catch. Anything that reduces alienation from the natural world can be helpful—gardening, for example (even window boxes offer something).
I sometimes suspect that morbid ideation has an addictive quality. Mickey, I'm sure you've offered people a better way of doing things only to be harshly condemned. People become perversely attached to their miseries. They feel threatened when certainties, however awful, are taken away.
That Reddit thread of "humans just beings bros" is incredibly touching!!! Thank you!
