The Parasite Class™ conditions us to praise them while blaming their victims
Reminder: Capitalist billionaires LOVE socialism
About a year ago, I was walking home when I encountered a man who lives across the street from me. I don’t really know him but I’m typically cordial with him — in that “social contract” kind of way.
Anyway, he can see I’m wearing earphones (listening to a podcast) but that doesn't prevent him from starting a conversation. I turn off the podcast to hear what he’s saying.
Here’s the gist of it: At that time, there was a homeless couple that panhandled about 10 blocks from my home. I often stopped to chat with them and help out with everything from gift cards to books, clothes, supplies for their dogs, and much more.
The neighbor, it seems, has seen me hanging out with them and wants to ask me some questions. My gut warns me I’m about to hear some unpleasant stuff. But, on the slim chance he also wants to help out, I give this man my full attention.
He proceeds to tell me how “disgusted” he is by them. “Don’t they have any pride?” he asks. “They’re young. Why can’t they do something with their lives? I’d rather die than beg for money.”
“Well, first of all, I hope you’re never in that position,” I calmly reply. “But, for the record, you’re making a lot of assumptions about people you don’t know.”
For some reason, he thinks I’m explaining that the homeless couple is mentally ill. Although untrue, this “revelation” seems to spark an iota of sympathy for them — but it doesn’t last long. In a flash, he goes back to telling me that he can’t understand people having no shame and (again) he’d “rather be dead than ask for a handout.”
With as mellow a tone as I could muster, I shrug and say: “Okay, good to know. I’ve gotta get going now.”
Before he can try to prolong the conversation, I wish him a good day and go.
I share this story, in part, to highlight how common it is for people to judge strangers — and then feel entitled to having their vile opinions heard and validated. If he was so offended by the homeless couple, all he had to do was avoid their panhandling spot and get on with his life.
But there’s more.
You see, so many non-rich people reserve their wrath for those who unconsciously remind them how unfair, inhumane, and dangerous a world we’ve collectively created.
Someone like my neighbor was carrying so much fear and anger that he just had to tell someone about it.
But what about the bankers, CEOs, corporations, politicians, etc. whom most non-rich people admire and even worship? All of these human parasites achieved this artificial position of artificial respect precisely by having no shame about begging for handouts.
Take Elon Musk — someone widely viewed as a “self-made” genius who became “the world’s richest person” through guts and hard work.
Here’s an old article of mine that demonstrates how he — and all the billionaires — thrive thanks to socialism:
Their costs are socialized while their profits are privatized.
Yet those of us who are just one or two bad breaks away from homelessness treat these vampires as if they’re gods walking on Earth.
For example, in 2021:
Also, these companies all enjoyed effective tax rates of less than 10 percent — or less than half the federal statutory rate:
I wonder if one day, my neighbor will stop me on the street to rant about all the “disgusting, shameless” corporations that want our money but pay little or no taxes.
If he won’t do it, will you?

Most of them also did not 'work hard' to get their money, they mostly inherited it. Musk, Trump, and several others did. Only know of one trucker right after the war who got rich of it.
